JV on IL

Verlander placed on the IL with a sore left hip.

That will happen with 43-year-old pitchers.

Verlander says his hip issue is "minor".  Just being cautious with some possible cold weather starts coming up and wants to avoid pitching in colder weather.  He will continue throwing while on the IL.
