Troy Melton (2.39 ERA in 6 starts) on the mound for the Tigers. Melton doesn't have a lot of Ks but he has been getting more swings and misses lately and has continued to induce weak contact. He has allowed 7 homers in 45.2 IP but he doesn't walk many hitters
so he's been limiting the damage.
We'll see how he and Warren handle the excessive heat. They might both have shortish outings.
Tork has quietly been hitting pretty well recently. He's hitting .273/.360/.500 (.860 OPS) in the past 2 weeks and .220/.301/.488 (.789 OPS) in the past month (that's not great, but it's better than normal for Tork).
Nice to see Outman hit one out last night. He's hitting .206/.308/.471 (.779 OPS) with 3 homers since joining the Tigers. That's more production from CF than we normally get.
Let's get the sweep!
