Join us for a panel discussion on the advantages, disadvantages, challenges, and other topics surrounding developing for iOS and Android. Are you familiar with one platform, but not the other? Have any other development related questions about one or both of the platforms? These and many other questions will be answered at the next Mobile Monday Ann Arbor. Our panel consists of some very seasoned veterans for their respective platforms, so all questions are welcome and encouraged. iOS

Dave Koziol - Dave has been building native mobile apps since long before it was fashionable. He's built commercial apps for Palm, Windows Mobile, Symbian, iOS, BlackBerry and Android. He is President of Arbormoon Software, Inc., a company which specializes in helping build mobile solutions for their clients.  He also runsCocoaHeads Ann Arbor, and the Google Developer Group Android of Ann Arbor, and encourages everyone interested in iOS and Android development to attend the appropriate group.

Eric Shapiro - Eric is the President of Relium Corporation, an award-winning custom software development company specializing in iPhone, iPad, and Macintosh software. Since 1987 Relium has produced software and developer training materials for many companies including Apple, Weather Underground, Diagnostic Instruments, GoKnow, The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, Irwin Magnetics, Mark/Space, MediaStation, Philips, Scholastic, and Widevine (now Google). Relium's developers have an average of more than 20 years of software development experience. More than 2 million copies of Relium's iOS applications have been downloaded from Apple's App Store.

Eric has Computer and Electrical engineering degrees from the University of Michigan and is past President of MacTechnics, then a 700 member Macintosh users group here in Ann Arbor. He is perhaps best known as the author of "The Grouch", a silly old MacOS system extension, and "VideoBeep", for which he won MacHack's "Best Hack" award in 1991.

Android

Dan McNeil - Dan is the Lead Android Developer for Arbormoon Software, Inc.  His passion for Android began when he tried to install Android Beta on a Treo 650 only to find it needed more RAM to be fun, and has not stopped since.

Scott Weber - Scott is a Senior Software Engineer at Mobiata where he has been primarily focused on Android after a short stint with BlackBerry development.  He is currently leading the Android development team for the Mobiata-branded apps FlightTrack and FlightBoard.
