Hello everyone:

In case you have been waiting on purchasing a ticket to the Michigan Google Developers DevFest, we have added two more reasons to purchase a ticket to this great event (one of them includes a pair of Google Glass).

The Michigan Google Developers DevFest is a collaboration between the Ann Arbor Google Developers Group and the Detroit Google Developers Group. This full day event on Sat, May 17, 2014 at Quicken Loans in downtown Detroit will feature two tracks on Android and Google Web Technologies.

So now, for the reasons:

Reason #1 - Fantastic sponsors bringing great prizes. Quicken Loans will be hosting the event in their downtown offices. RIIS (www.riis.com) has donated a pair of Google Glass to raffle off and Expedia (http://www.lifeatexpedia.com/) has donated the following Android devices: Nexus 5. Nexus 7, Moto X, Moto G and ChromeCasts to raffle off.

Reason #2 - We have had some great recent additions to our speakers line up including:
  • Functional Reactive Programming with RxJava by Sean O'Neil
  • API Strategery by Calvin Bushor
  • Angular.js by Christopher Smith
  • Google Go by Charles Redmond
Find out more and register for what will be a great day of learning at: http://michigandevfest.wix.com/devfest2014

Or just visit the registration site at: http://goo.gl/ZyTKfo

Have a great evening.

Hello everyone,

We are thrilled to have just added two more exciting new sessions to the Michigan Google Developers DevFest. The sessions are:

1) Martin Omander from the Google Developer Relations team will be coming out from Google HQ in Mountain View to join us and will present "Building Snappy Apps on App Engine and Google Maps!"

2) Godfrey Nolan will show you how to build your own Chrome Extension with his session on "Developing Chrome Extensions!"

We are looking forward to seeing everyone for what will be a great day of sharing and learning about Android and Google Web Technologies!

For more information on these sessions as well as all of the other fantastic sessions and the event itself, check out our website: http://michigandevfest.wix.com/devfest2014
