Dearborn to Downtown Detroit?

Looking for suggestions on a good route from Dearborn to Downtown Detroit. So far, I am near Rotunda/Outer. Are Google Maps bike directions any good?

I checked the bike directions and they don't seem too bad except for riding on Rotunda. I'm just not aware of too many alternatives unless you're willing to go out of your way.

Which of those routes seem the safest? I was on Rotunda yesterday and it was a ghost town, since it wasn't a workday. Outer is great, but I've never rode on Dix or 85.

If Rotunda has a more consistent shoulder, I might not mind it. Southern/Kronk is a great road except for the rail tracks and occasional debris.

There's even less traffic on M85/Fort Street, but especially east of Schaefer. That's a 24/7 ghost town road.

Dix wouldn't be my first choice until the bike lanes appear east of Central. Even then there's much road debris along parts of this due to the truck traffic.
