Spain's postal service is feeling a backlash from its effort to highlight racial inequality. The company this week issued a set of four stamps in different skin-colored tones. The darker the stamp, the lower the price. Correos/AP hide caption

State-owned Correos España this week issued a set of four stamps in different skin-colored tones. The darker the stamp, the lower the price. The lightest color costs 1.60 euros ($1.95). The darkest one costs 0.70 euros ($0.85).

The postal service calls them "Equality Stamps" and introduced them on the anniversary of George Floyd being killed by a police officer in Minneapolis. It said the stamps "reflect an unfair and painful reality that shouldn't be allowed" and that every letter or parcel sent with them would "send a message against racial inequality."

This isn't the first time the Spanish postal service has sought to make a statement on social issues. Last June, to coincide with LGBT Pride Month, it issued a special stamp and painted its delivery vans and mail boxes in rainbow colors.

(a) All pipe between the container and first shutoff valve shall be Schedule 80 (extra heavy). All fittings between the container and first shutoff valve shall be steel as required by Section 480(c).

Aboveground piping in excess of 1 1/2 inch pipe size may be Schedule 40 when used beyond the first shutoff valve, providing:

(1) Threaded connections are used and the piping is used for vapor service only at less than 125 psi.

(2) Welded connections are used and the piping is used for liquid or vapor service at less than 400 psi.

All other piping shall be Schedule 80.

Where used, flare nuts shall be of forged brass.

All welded piping shall be fabricated and tested in accordance with the ANSI Standard Code for Pressure Piping, Section 3, Petroleum Refinery Piping B-31.3, 1993 Edition or equivalent.

(b) Piping outside of buildings may be either buried or installed aboveground and shall be well-supported and protected against mechanical injury. All underground piping shall be Schedule 80 and shall be buried not less than 18 inches below the surface of the ground, unless otherwise protected, and shall be protected from corrosion by approved corrosion-resistant material and by cathodic protection.

Voltage readings from the cathodic system shall be taken and recorded annually and shall produce a negative voltage of at least 0.85 volts with reference to a saturated copper-copper sulfide half-cell. Where impressed current is used, amperage and voltage readings shall be recorded at 6-month intervals.

(c) All steel fittings used with Schedule 80 pipe shall be Schedule 80 if butt welded, 3,000 pounds WOG if socket welded, and 2,000 pounds WOG forged steel if threaded. All other steel fittings shall have a rating of at least Schedule 40 if butt welded, and 2,000 pounds WOG if socket welded or threaded.

All steel valves and fittings shall have a steam rating of at least one hundred fifty (150) psi, ANSI standard, with a minimum WOG rating of 250 psi. Valves of material other than steel shall have a pressure rating of at least two hundred (200) psi steam, or four hundred (400) psi WOG. The manufacturer of LP-Gas valves shall stamp or otherwise permanently mark the valve body to indicate the pressure rating. Steam valves when used for LP-Gas service shall be refitted for such service. Valve seat material, packing, gaskets, etc., shall be resistant to the action of LP-Gas.

Please note that grade names satisfy the bilingual labelling requirement for mandatory information appearing on consumer prepackaged food since most are already bilingual (for example, Canada A, Canada B1, Canada C2) or, if not, are in both official languages when shown within the grade stamp as illustrated in the Compendium or Grades Document (for example, the grade name CANADA UTILITY UTILITÉ for poultry carcasses).

The beef grade stamp has the outline of a Canadian maple leaf. Centered towards the top of the emblem is the word "Canada". Centered in the middle of the emblem is the letter grade assigned to the carcass, "AAA". The grade name, "Canada AAA", is in blocked capital letters. Centered inside the bottom of the leaf outline, just above the leaf stem, is the grade stamp code. Despite being illustrated in black, the beef grade stamp must appear in red ink on the graded beef carcass.

The veal grade stamp has the outline of a triangle with all sides 5 cm, pointing downwards. The grade name, for example, "Canada A2", would be situated in blocked capital letters centered at the top of the triangle. The grade stamp code would be centered inside near the tip of the triangle. Despite being shown in black, the veal grade stamp must appear in red ink when marked on a graded veal carcass.

The bison grade stamp is a 2.5 cm square outline with double borders. The grade name appears in the top left corner of the square in blocked capital letters. The number for the grade stamp code is to appear in the bottom right corner of the outline. Despite being shown in black, the bison grade stamp must appear in purple ink when marked on a graded bison carcass.

The ovine grade stamp has the outline of a Canadian maple leaf. Centered towards the top of the emblem is the word "Canada". Centered in the middle of the emblem is the letter grade assigned to the carcass, "AAA". The grade name, "Canada AAA", is in blocked capital letters. Centered inside the bottom of the leaf outline, just above the stem, is the grade stamp code. Despite being shown in black, the ovine grade stamp must appear in red ink when marked on a graded ovine carcass.

A grade stamp, roller brand (in the case of beef) or yield stamp (in the case of beef and lamb) must not be removed from a livestock carcass or primal cut unless the removal is at the direction of and under the supervision of a grader, or when these are being trimmed for further processing [328(1), SFCR].

If fat that is marked with a grade stamp, roller brand or yield stamp is removed from a livestock carcass or primal cut, the fat must be disposed of under a grader's supervision, unless the fat is reapplied to the same livestock carcass or primal cut from which it was removed. Applying the fat to another livestock carcass or primal cut bearing the same grade stamp, roller brand or yield stamp is also acceptable provided this is done under the supervision of a grader. If applied to another beef carcass graded Canada A, Canada AA, Canada AAA or Canada Prime, the fat must be applied to the rib of the carcass [328, SFCR].

Note: The licence holder of an establishment is responsible for the accuracy of grade labelling. When repackaging cuts that originate from a mixed-grade container, these cuts may be marked with a specific grade only if each original cut was individually marked with a grade and the grade can be verified. Example: A mixed-grade container marked "Canada B2 /Canada D3" contains mixed cuts on which the grade "Canada B2" or "Canada D3" has been directly stamped to a carcass. In this case, the grade of a cut is easily identifiable and verifiable. Therefore, the derived cuts can be marked accordingly with the grade "Canada B2" or "Canada D3".

The poultry grade stamp has the outline of a Canadian maple leaf. Centered in the middle of the emblem, is the grade name, "Canada Utility", and the French equivalent, "Utilité". Each word is on a separate line in blocked capital letters.

While there are still dedicated post office branches in most German cities, under the new regime the neighborhood post office is often a sort of one-stop shopping center. It could be part of a stationery or grocery store with a section or counter where you can buy stamps, mail a package, deposit or withdraw money and apply for a credit card. It will also probably be open more convenient hours than the bureaucratic post offices of old.

All cylinders that have been successfully requalified will have the date of the retest (month and year) stamped in the crown of the cylinder with the RIN of the DOT approved requalification facility stamped between the month and year of the retest date.

Before calling, please have available the product identification marking and an explanation of your concerns about the product. For cylinders the product identification marking would be the complete crown stamping. Having this information available at the time of the call will help expedite the resolution to your concerns. The information you provide the RA representative will determine if a RA report should be generated and the products returned to Catalina Cylinders or Catalina East Division.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) and Transport Canada (TC) require that cylinders made in compliance to their specifications be marked on the crown with certain information. Over the years the format used by Catalina Cylinders and Catalina East Division to display these markings has changed a few times. Shown below is an example of the current crown marking stamped on the standard 20 # CO2 cylinders manufactured at Catalina Cylinders, Garden Grove, CA. Under the example of the crown marking is a list of each of the specific crown markings, followed by a brief explanation of that marking. The descriptions of the markings are the same regardless of the different stamping formats used over the years .
