Global Alignment Constants
==========================

Global alignment constants have been determined for the recent
date. Constants for the data we have so far are stored in a
database. In offline analysis they are accessed and applied
automatically from ARTE version ARTE-03-02-r1 on. No further
action by the user is necessary but the VDS constants have fit:
side.ecalalign.4154.map (run>=4577)
gede.5429_15RWA (run>=5429)
gede.9789ia_11RWA (run>=9205)
The VDS and global constants together align the VDS/ECAL/RICH and
the below 1 wire.
The other wires show a misalignment when using the positions
from the event stream (DTAR/GTAR). To correct for this (unless
there is a database for this) you can set an offset in your
ARTE kumac (only in ARTE-03-02-r1). Reasonable values for
the August data are:
SETENV WIRE_OFFSET_A1 0.1091
SETENV WIRE_OFFSET_O1 -0.0049
SETENV WIRE_OFFSET_I1 0.0066

SETENV WIRE_OFFSET_A2 -0.1338
SETENV WIRE_OFFSET_B2 0.0084
SETENV WIRE_OFFSET_O2 0.0730
SETENV WIRE_OFFSET_I2 -0.0474
This will add an offset to the position in the GTAR bank.

Best regards,
Thorsten Oest
