Physics Commissioning Group meeting, July 7, 11:00, building 66
===============================================================

Dear colleagues,
since there is the colloquium in memory of Bjørn Wiik next
Wednesday we will have our physics commissioning meeting
in the morning at 11:00.
There are two topics on the agenda:

o J/psi search in magnet on data with RICH/ECAL Kendall Reeves

o preparations for the online reconstruction
Since we need some testing phase for the software that enters the
online reconstruction we have to decide within the next week
which packages will enter the reconstruction from the beginning on.
There are some requirements which have to be fulfilled:
- the reconstruction time has to be well below 1 second for
each individual module
- alignment, calibration, hot channel constants must be
available
If you are responsible for a reconstruction package that is
supposed to run on the farm please attend the meeting and
be able to answer whether your code fulfills the requirements.
Some specific questions which came to my mind are:
- are we able to store the data in a useful way (can the
daq format be recovered from DST files, can we store
relations)?
- is the RICH ring reconstruction fast enough?
- do we have OTR reconstruction code (wax?)?
- do we have a TRD alignment (otherwise the TRD reconstruction
cannot enter the online reconstruction)?

Best regards,
Thorsten and Michael
