Dear colleagues.

Today we found out that the meaning of the extremely vital ONLINE
environment HBNAMEROOT is not quite understood by some people.

The value of this variable sets the address of the root name server, the
process
that is responsible for registration of all RHP based processes in
HERA-B.

It means that one cannot run RPM based applications properly if
this variable has a wrong value.

At the moment there are two name servers running to separate ONLINE and
OFFLINE worlds.

They are using hb-con09 (ONLINE), hera-b (OFFLINE).

It means that if some people would like to work in both worlds , they
have to check up
the value of the HBNAMEROOT first.

Today HBNAMEROOT was set 'to hera-b' for the convenience of the OFFLINE
experts
in the 'hbprofile' script.

But it turned out that some people using 'hbprofile' script was not
aware
of the existence of the HBNAMEROOT at all.

It lead to the fact that the ONLINE stuff simply stopped to work for
them.

Please, be careful with HBNAMEROOT.

Best regards,
Vladimir.
