Dear Colleagues,

Desy prepares a new project called "A User Friendly, General
Purpose Linux Environment With Low TCO for DESY". The project
assignmnet plan is in the second draft and all experiments
are asked to bring in their ideas.

I propose to have a short meeting next Friday, 4.Aug., 15h,
seminar room building 66 with the topics

Short summary on the current draft
What else do we need/want for
- online farms
- online cluster
- controllers
- offline farms
- work group servers
- desk top PC
- laptops
- ....

Just to inform you, manpower from the experiments for the Linux
project is welcome.
