Several people have mentioned that we could use a new spawn point. I agree 100% with this, as the capital is super crowded and it takes forever to find a unexplored mining spot. The old spawn will forever live at /warp hometown (ill add this to the message that displays when you login).

As for the new spawn, I still have no idea where it should be or what to call it, so im opening it up to a discussion. Reply with any warp points you think would be a good site for a new city. Eventually it'll get as crowded as the current one and we'll do this again, each time interconnecting them with a rail system.

Another idea I had was to create a quake 1 style lobby, where the spawn is actually an enclosed chamber/lobby with signs to the actual real cities and the user picks where they want to go every time they log in. Or, we could just cycle the spawns every week, whatever.

Let me know what you guys think!

I'll have a good look for a place.

I love the quake idea though, I was thinking of something similar. Of
course usually only new users would be sent there as Minecraft often
remembers the last place you disconnected, so for regulars it wouldn't
be an inconvenience. New cities would also motivate people (me) to
create new stuff :D

Either way I'm glad this is getting discussed, spawn is getting
slightly cluttered D:

Well if you need a rail system, my Skyway might be able to support
that. Currently I'm connecting the City and Undercity together. With a
few connections to other areas as I pass by. Nearly there too.
After which I can split it off and bring it to the new Spawn. And if
people want, they can build a rail system on it.

Quake idea is best

Best to move it, since the current spawn has the lava/obsidian sign on
it, so I've spawned stuck on a fence.

I say we move it to Hamza's location just because he stretched our map
out and it would serve him right for thinking he could get away from
us. =D

I think we should move it. I like the idea of just spawning in a
mostly untouched area. especially considering that there is a lot of
uninhabited space if you go by the map you guys posted last week.

I still prefer the lobby idea. Ideally I'd say a ginormous lobby with
enough wall-space for a number of warp locations and perhaps the rules
as well.

:P I'd offer to build another giant tetris piece for a lobby, since
that appears to be my shtick, but I don't have the magic powers to
build with bedrock.

I like that idea too. I've seen on other servers a large lobby with
labeled portals leading to major areas/cities
