In an effort to create a quicker pace of play, a 30-second timer between batters will be implemented in 2023. Between pitches, a 15-second timer will be in place with the bases empty and a 20-second timer with runners on base.

Hi, i am currently in the 3. project in the swift techdegree. In there i am told to make a countdown timer so that the user only has 60 seconds to complete his/her answer. I have never made it before, and as far as i know it hasnt been shown in the videos yet. Therefore i took my search to Google, but with very little result. i have found som NSTimer code examples that doesnt work, and tried different things for a couple of days now.

Okay I've had some tea and came back and it was a mistake on my end, I was calling the method that contained the timers within the OnLocationChange method for GoogleMaps so it was calling it every second or so, so it wasn't the timer not working, it was the timer working multiple times. Can't figure out how to delete so thought I'd explain the issue and just mark it as solved.

Hey Guys, so this is kind of a simple question but one that I can't figure out what's going wrong with. I'm trying to have something happen every 5 seconds so I wanted to set up a timer/handler to do this but everything i've tried has just waited 5 seconds, then after that initial wait just does it every second and I can't figure out why. I'm sure it's something simple and I'm just tired but I would greatly appreciate some help. I'll attach below the stuff that I've tried:

I have verified that the air pump diverter valve is working; it is controlled by coolant temp only and is functional longer than 45 seconds from cold. I can ground the pink/white at the timer and the idle will increase, although I have not tried it from dead cold. Timer is on its way, as I have confirmed that it is not working and will see if it helps. Thanks to those who responded.

Now that temps in the morning are 20 deg (F), engine starts easily but starts to load up almost immediately, and I have to hold at 2000 rpm for about 30 seconds, then it clears and idles fine. Subsequent starts during the day have no issue. Runs fine otherwise. Coolant temp sensor values seem correct.

Yes, by loading up I mean running rich, smoking at the exhaust, and rough. As I open the throttle to hold at 2000 it misfires, runs ragged, and then clears and starts firing on all cylinders. Funny thing is that when it is first started from overnight, with no throttle it starts and it runs smooth at about 1100 rpm for a few seconds before it starts to foul out the plugs.

So now to what happens, it starts the timer but it is not running in seconds, the LED is just on permanently, I do know that it is togelling, I will test later with Scope to see speed, but I have relay on the port as well and I can hear the relay toggle, but definitely not once a second, any assistance would be great.

Hello,

On the RA4M1, GPT5 is a 16-bit timer, not a 32-bit timer as on S7G2.
The maximum clock divider that the GPT can run at is PCLKA / 1024.
Therefore, assuming the RA4M1 running at 48MHz, PCLKA / 1024 = 48M / 1024 = 46.875kHz == 21.33us
21.33us * 2^16 = 1.398s. It is not possible to set a 5s timeout on the GPT5.
