Skate skis

I'm looking to buy some skate skis this fall. Anyone have anything for
sale or know of a good deal for a beginner skater.

Chad,

The most important thing is that you are fitted properly (even if you are just a beginner).  The stiffness of the ski needs to be correct for you weight.  No one I know of  sells X-country skis in Des Moines.  I bought my skate skis in Minneapolis last winter at Gear West (http://www.gearwest.com/) just after the new year in January when the shops are selling skis at discount.  Unless someone else knows of a place locally, I suggest making a trip up north where they really know about skiing.

HEY CHAD!! WHASSS!!! UPPP!!! LOOK ON LINE I BOUGHT MINE FROM A SHOP IN MICH. IT WAS A GOOD DEAL, DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE TRAILS IN WEST DES MOINES AND WHERE THE MONEY IS THAT WAS RAISED FOR EQUIP.
