Hi

I am wondering where our Tiddly Workspaces and Tiddlers are saved and what is the best way to keep everything backed up? Can we store or backup on our devices?

thanks
Mikal

Great question.

In any browser do a file save to your desktop. Open in a browser. That is a snapshot. There is a save file button on the wiki that should invoke a local save. Test by opening the saved version in browser. You can change the site title or subtitle
And through use of default tiddlers create a static version of your xememex tiddlywiki.

As for backups for other reasons:

It’s probably fairly easy to get xemememex files to save every save like tiddly desktop does.

I’ll cc the group on an email to xemememx developers. What should we ask for? Save to a local version of google drive or OneDrive or local drive. Named versions?

thanks Steve. I tried it using the MS Edge browser.
In Xememex: I clicked  [...]   -then [more tools]   -then [open in Microsoft Edge}
In Microsoft Edge: I clicked  [...] in the top right corner  - then [download]
This seemed downloaded an html page

As far as backups
I like to save on my pc and on external drives for backup. It would help to know where/how to do this and if there are naming conventions that need to be followed. I would like to include a date and possibly a subject.

thanks
