APRIL MEETING
Modern Web Development (Michael Niggel, Paul Kaza Associates)
Michael Niggel will lead discussion of effectively using HTML and CSS
on today's websites. The discussion may also cross into behavioral
scripting (Web 2.0). Focus will be on the practical application of
"best practice" web design.
COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES
Planning to attend the BoNE Show opening on June 7th? Josh Silverman,
President of AIGA:Rhode Island, invites all designers to convene
earlier in the day to strengthen connections and forge ongoing
collaboration. Place and time to meet are still under consideration,

May 29: Color Management (Julie Ogletree, Sappi Fine Paper)
This presentation highlights Sappi's latest publication: "The Standard
II." The presentation starts with a segment about Color Theory
(compression), then the focus shifts to the 3 sections in the book:
Four Color Plus (techniques to augment 4-color process), Apples to
Apples (color calibration), and Expanded Vision (techniques to expand
the color gamut).
June 26: Variable Data Printing (John Monson, Springfield Printing)
You may have heard of variable data printing, but what is it, exactly?
John Monson of Springfield Printing explains what it is, and more
importantly, how to use it. In addition, this presentation will cover
other 1 to 1 marketing topics such as personalized URL's. To learn
