Our January meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 30, from 6:30 to 8:00 at the
studio of Jordan Silverman Photography on Pine Street in Burlington.

JANUARY MEETING
This month we will have the first of our "Visiting Vendors" sessions! Dan Craven
from the Stinehour Press (http://www.stinehourpress.com/) will talk to us about
how to get the best results from printers and maintain good relationships. After
his presentation, there will be time for Q&A. Dan will also be bringing some
goodies from Sappi Fine Paper! We hope to see you on the 30th!

FEBRUARY MEETING
Upcoming in February, Roger Sammel from Sammel Sign Company (www.sammelsign.com)
will give a presentation on the design and mechanics of creating signs. Q&A will
follow. Sammel Sign Company designs and produces signs in Essex Junction. It will
be held on February 27.

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER RECAP
Julie Brannen from Hull Printing was not able to join the November meeting and
present. The meeting topic turned to contracts and copyright laws. We discussed
how to protect yourself and your intellectual property while giving the client
usage rights for their needs. We also discussed client expectations of usage
rights and how they affect the contracts we decide to work under.

A meeting was not held in December.

UPDATE ON AIGA NH/VT CHAPTER
It's official! The AIGA NH/VT chapter has achieved official status. The board
members are working on paperwork and plans to set in motion a very exciting 2007
for AIGA NH/VT. They hope to soon have a website launched and be announcing the
first official event. Contact Sara Morin for more information.
