Employment Opportunity for Communications Associate at Pacific Institute
 
The Pacific Institute in Oakland, California, has an opening for a part-time (20 hours per week) Communications Associate to support the Communications Director and research staff, working to enhance the Institute’s effectiveness by promoting our work primarily through:
 
-Writing: press releases, report summaries, newsletter and web copy, etc.
-Copy editing and proofreading the Institute’s extensive reports, articles, and essays, as well as press materials.
-Website: maintaining and updating, writing copy, and creating pages for the Institute’s websites, using Dreamweaver (some HTML helpful), Photoshop. Dreamweaver skills are a MUST.
-Formatting/laying-out reports (in Word – not a graphic designer position) for Web publication (as pdfs) and some hard-copy print versions, including creating and inserting Excel charts and tables, photos (sized and formatted in Photoshop).
-And MORE, of course…
