Hey everyone

It's time for the next roundtable discussion on Oct 9 - roundtables are held on the second Tuesday of each month.

The following roundtable will be Nov. 13.

We have a list of proposed topics. (see below and at: http://groups.google.com/group/designsondemocracy/web/roundtable-topics?hl=en)

Please propose a topic or we can pick one when we meet.

  * Case studies: following a process from idea to produced materials of a good communications campaign

    * Sustainability of ourselves, our staff, our work environment while still being able work within our clients' budgets

    * Estimating process and managing clients' expectations

    * Designing well on a shoestring budget

    * Techies of color roundtable

    * Logo process

    * Becoming better communications strategists

    * Making the time to market ourselves and work on our internal projects

    * Educating organizers and funders about the need for good GD

    * Being an activist and a designer

    * Students roundtable - up and coming youth

    * Intro to Activist Graphic Design with slideshow - this can be for people interested in GD, organizers who do in-house GD etc.
