Hello tom!

First of all… sorry for my not correct english im never finisched my english exam on school haha, and im from the Netherlands.

I found ur website because i am searching for weeks why my new printheads i orderd are not working as i would like.

While searching for any possible solution i have found that  HP made a HP DesignJet 500/800-firmware-upgradetool A.05.01.

But when i am running it and its starts searching for my Designjet 510 who is connected with a usb, its only says ''Hp designjet 500 queue not installed.

But there is no place where i can find a good driver to download, cause evry time i downloaded a driver i tought it was good, it is just a small zipp file.

and when i unzip the zipp file there are just some new filess in a new folder and i cannot do anyting with it?

I've been advising my customers not to do the A.05.01 firmware update on their designjet printer.

Instead, they should purchase remanufactured print heads for their printer. I offer them as a set for $99.

If you replace an old printhead with a new HP brand, you will get a 'Faulty printhead' message on new printhead installation.

HP new printheads with an expiration date of March 2020 or later are not working. I've also heard HP is discounting production of printheads all together at the start of 2019.

While HP has a firmware remedy, the new Chinese brand I offer will continue to produce reliable consumables into the future.

The Designjet 500/510/800 series plotters are the best HP ever made in wide format printing. If I can be of any assistance in servicing your printer, please contact me.
