Hi, I'm in the UK and not sure if you can help but we have a HP designjet T730 plotter that is 2 and a half years old. It worked fine up until a week ago when i switched it on and the touchscreen shows a white background with the HP logo, i cannot use the touchscreen or power off by pressing the on/off button. I can only switch it off with the power plug.

I've tried everything in the HP service manual, there are no beeps or paper/ink carriage movement when it's plugged in, When i switch on the wall socket it automatically comes on, nothing happens with the printer power button.

Looking through the service manual it looks like the main PCA board is broken. Our printer supplier has contacted HP who say they have now spares but not sure if that is true or not.

Does this sound like the PCA board problem to you? if we can get a board i'm confident enough to fit it ourselves to keep costs down.

Best regards,
Paul

Yes, it does. All the electronics are controlled by the main pca board.
Most likely, a chip on the board broke.

Replacement T730 Main PCA Boards are available on my website designjetpartsfast.com
