thanks diane!

i also recently went through the paycheck-for-a-camera experience, and a great company that i found for buying cameras and video equipment is b&h in new york city. the physical store is vast, the people are all really knowledgeable and helpful, and there is no tax if you buy it online!

a website that i referred to often for camera and lens reviews and side-by-side comparisons is http://www.dpreview.com/.

AND for general electronics, i almost always buy through new egg, because they have an easy return policy, refurbished stuff, and good prices.

i'll add adorama to my list!

Hey guys,

I'm just passing on a link for a camera site I've been really happy with. They seem to have the best prices, carry the most brands, and their reviews are really worth while (I used the reviews in selecting my new camera). For the designers they also carry portfolios at exceptionally reasonable prices (Pina Zangaro especially).

They do have other electronics (mehe) but the big thing for me was they carry refurbished cameras!

So, just wanted to share what I think is a worthwhile retailer.
