Printing barcodes to PDF

Hi All,

I have a client that needs to print barcodes and save them to a pdf.  Once saved, I need to email the pdf.  Does anyone have experience with this?  Can I do this from the DB Report Designer ?  If not, how are you doing it?

Rick,

We have placed barcodes on a PDF before.  It really depends on how the PDF is created.  We used a barcode font then just print the data in the barcode.  If I remember correctly, there are some free barcode fonts available.

Rick,

I remember that it is Barcode 39.  Try https://www.dafont.com/code39.font.  I think that will work for you.

Hi Dick,

I don't think this will help me.  I think I need web enabled barcode fonts as DB uses html and css to build the report.

Does anyone on this list have experience with printing barcode with DB ReportDesigner?

I don't have to print them from the ReportDesigner.  If anyone knows of a third party tool that I can call from a DB subroutine that will generate the PDF and then save it to a location that I can get at, please let me know ASAP.

We use mvpdf which is a good product. It Comes with its own page designer with barcode and data matrix capability.
