Hi all! I am the Research & Evaluation Manager at Somali Family Service of San Diego. We are a mid-sized community-based nonprofit organization that supports immigrant and refugee populations in San Diego.

We are looking for a web designer to re-do our website (https://www.somalifamilyservice.org/), ideally in WordPress and in a way that we can manage it ourselves once the design is complete. We have staff that are familiar with WordPress and very basic HTML/CSS to update content, but will need someone to do the work on the back end. Ideally, the person designing this will be familiar with HostGator where our files are currently stored and can help us keep this streamlined and organized.

We are hoping to add some pages, make the design cleaner and easier to navigate, and make it easy for us to continuously update with our many changing programs and services.

We would love to develop a relationship with a web designer who may be able to support us with future site updates and developing some other websites and pages for some of our upcoming initiatives.

The budget for this project is not set, so we are seeking estimates. Please let me know if you are interested in this project and send over a portfolio for me to share with my supervisors. My email is below. We will then set up meetings with folks we are interested in working with to go over the scope of work, get estimates, and decide on a contractor to hire. Our goal would be to launch the new site by January 2025.

Thank you!

Hi All,

Just wanted to say thank you so much to all that expressed their interest in re-designing the website for Somali Family Service. We got so many responses from very talented people in just 24 hours, so I'll have to cut off the applications today since I have so many options to go through. If we for any reason don't end up finding a good match from the current applicant pool, I'll update the job ad again here.

I am coordinating this on my own on behalf of the organization, so I may not be able to respond to everyone who threw their hat into the ring but I will try my best.

Thank you again!
Samantha
