AdoptAnOrganizer: Will be a progressive web app with at least two major advantages over GoFundMe to be enable an army of 1000 aspiring organizers to more rapidly get what they need housing-wise and other basic needs-wise to be able to leave their unfulfilling wage-laboir jobs and instead follow their passions to become organizers to correct the worst injustices that afflict America and the planet at this time and by Nov, ensure free and fair elections and then afterwards bring real democracy to America, economically as well as politically.

MAMA! (Mutual Aid for Mass Actions): Will be a progressive web app that will help cover rent, mortgage, and health insurance payments for long-term strikers or long-term jailed activists.

Both apps will be on a platform since both share a significant amount of same data.

URGENCY AND IMPORTANCE: If you have any doubts re how urgent and important these two apps will be for any realistic chance to stop Trump/MAGA from rigging and/or canceling any or all elections in tossup Cong'l districts or toss up Senate races, read the research.

TECH AND DESIGN SKILLS REQUIRED: ASK us for detailed list. Besides figma astery and other usual tech skills, they will include skills peculiar to moral mission driven rather than profit driven apps, whose audience are people suffering and/or angry and outraged at the fascist take over and accelerated destruction of our mother, Earth. Given our Maga-loyal DOJ, they will require savvy security and privacy skills (not the ones the engineers need of course), but a sensibility to the trade- off between friction and meeting the users’justified paranoia. You will need to create a place and user journey that feels more like an opportunity for sanctuary, for learning, and for community and a bridge to freedom, rather than your typical cold financial transaction app. And for the large matching donor or inkind free housing donor, it will feel not merely as a cold mechanical donation to an individual, candidate, or an ngo, but a major support to the Resistance and to the beginning of what could be one of the most important friendships of your life

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that 1) you would be considered a cofounder with director title; and 2) we won't be able to get serious funding until we achieve POC, though we should be able to add $1000-2000 to the Designer Salary soon after having an impressive Mockup

COMPENSATION: Negotiable. We have funding of $28k now and another $10k bonus once we have our first 100 success stories for AdoptAnorganizer, and having been a fundraiser much of my life am confident I can raise at least medium 5 digits more once the traction continues and we start landing progressive member orgs.like People's Action. So for the designer: $4,000-6,000,and more as we raise more funding during the process with the use of the designer's mockup for example and my networking to donors urgently wanting to overthrow our current insane fascist regime. (I have more than 40 years fundraising and organizing experience.)

DURATION: Given the advantages of Ai for coding and having two halftime programmers, one quite senior (Palestinian and in Gaza too!) and hoping to soon find a gifted Prod Mgr, we are estimating the bulk of the design work taking 6wks, but could drag out to 12-15 wks if unforeseen user issues,sickness, etc. OTOH, if the designer is of senior level, i doubt those later weeks (wks 7-12 or longer) would require more than 5-10hrs/ week if that. Much would of course depend on their prior experience (eg whether they've made apps for similar audience or similar features or not) And with further funds raised (after having an impressive mockup) additional pay would also be offered hopefully by week 12 or 13.

And If the MVP starts getting major traction in time to save our democracy this November, this could turn into long term ongoing employment adding more features to be able to pass Medicare4All, reduce college debt, end grotesque wealth inequality, tax the rich, stop the ecocide.

WHY this could be the most important work of your life:

You will be creating two tools that arguably will be the absolutely most important & essential tools to save the American experiment and a livable planet at this most critical moment in our species history & history of democracy. Hopefully it will be your proudest accomplishment in life! Finally, this could lead to ongoing PT work.

LOCATION and hours: Remote and Hours/wk negotiable. Can also be an adviser or play a Product Mgr role (4-5hrs/wk)
