The Design & Development Team at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a U.S. federal government agency, is hiring an experienced User Experience Designer to join our team!

Apply through the link below -- deadline to submit your resume is March 10th.

Who we are: We’re a leading in-house design and technology team made up of designers, software developers, user researchers, and videographers. Our purpose is to use design and technology as amplifiers of the CFPB’s mission to make consumer financial markets work for consumers, responsible providers, and the economy as a whole. To that end, we built, maintain, and continuously improve the consumerfinance.gov web platform, an award-winning government website that reaches more than 20 million people per year.

The CFPB is an equal opportunity employer and seeks to create and maintain a vibrant and diverse workforce. Individuals from all segments of society (i.e., women, minorities, veterans, and people with disabilities) are encouraged to apply.

Open position: We’re looking for designers who are eager to put their skills to work improving government services using human-centered design techniques to focus on the people most in need. Candidates will need experience working on projects from early discovery and research, into prototype testing and iteration, and through implementation. Experience tackling issues of equity and accessibility in design is a major plus.

We are a distributed team, and this is a remote position open to U.S. Citizens or U.S. nationals living in the United States. This is a “term position” which means that it will last for 2 years, with the possibility of extending for another 2 years.

Posting closes Friday March 10
