Hello,

IDEO.org has two openings in the San Francisco studio. IDEO.org is a nonprofit design studio that was created by the IDEO studio in 2011 to focus solely on designing for social impact. Our designers focus on work for poor and vulnerable communities around the globe. Currently our designers are working on projects in Tanzania, India, and Jordan.

Level setting: The positions are titled "Lead" because this Designer is responsible for leading teams through projects. It is two levels below Director.

Design Research Lead: Experience working with poor and vulnerable communities is very important in this position.

As a senior member of our design community, you’ll lead projects—guiding a multidisciplinary team through the human-centered design process—from research through ideation, and ultimately, bringing new solutions to life.

Design Strategy Lead:

IDEO.org has an opportunity for a Design Strategy Lead to join our San Francisco studio. In this role, you'll lead multidisciplinary design teams through a rigorous process to integrate human-centered research insights, data science, and a systemic understanding of the contexts we work in, into the design of tangible products and services that improve the lives of low-income people.
