The Product Branch is looking for seven Senior Service Designers. Reporting to the Manager, Product and Delivery, this position is a core member of a delivery team and leads the work to define the right problem to solve and the right solution to build — ensuring products and services are designed around real user needs while balancing organizational goals, policy considerations, and operational realities.
Working closely with product owners, program staff, and other stakeholders, the Senior Service Designer breaks down large, complex mandates into practical and deliverable pieces, builds shared understanding, and maintains alignment throughout delivery — shaping the end-to-end experience and the user interface people interact with so that every touchpoint is accessible, usable, and positive.

As a senior service designer, you’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary squad collaborating with teams across UKHSA. This role involves providing strategy, guidance and support to internal teams across UKHSA to ensure that their policies, services and products are user-centred.
The senior service designer will work with stakeholders to design services that reduce friction and complexity across the whole service, finding accessible solutions to complex problems and helping UKHSA to achieve its public health objectives.
