💵 The salary range for the position is $115,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience plus the opportunity for a generous post election cycle bonus.

Resonance Campaigns, a top-tier political direct mail firm, is seeking an experienced Art Director to join our team to manage the design team, workflow process, provide art direction on all materials, develop and execute direct mail and media campaigns for our political campaign clients. The Art Director will work closely with account staff to manage the execution of direct mail pieces from inception to print, making sure content is created on time and with no mistakes.

This is a full-time role in a fun, fast-paced environment with a friendly and hard-working team. This position is hybrid in Washington, DC with potential to be remote.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

A commitment to electing Democrats to public office

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent experience)

7+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role

Experience with political direct mail preferred but not required

Strong print and digital portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and high-quality design execution

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design tools

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

High level of organization, meticulous attention to detail, and an ability to multitask

Ability to work – as well as lead and inspire a creative team – in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the design team, oversee workflow processes, and ensure deadlines are met with exceptional quality

Provide art direction on all materials, ensuring a consistent and compelling visual style across print and digital platforms

Develop and execute direct mail and media campaigns tailored for political campaign clients

Provide clear creative direction and constructive feedback to internal teams, freelancers, and vendors

Review and approve design work, photography, and layouts before client or public release

Manage and collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets

Create compelling and effective logos, designs, print and digital media

Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for the position is $115,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience plus the opportunity for a generous post election cycle bonus.
