THE ROLE

Platform Justice wants to bring its site to life through a combination of graphics, icons and animations. The ideal person for this role can animate multiple SVG images through a combination of traditional web-development and third-party software. We are not committed to a particular tech-stack, but the ideal-candidate should possess the following qualifications:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

-Animate SVG icons based on team’s direction

-Write and/or modify HTML and CSS code to add icons onto Platform Justice’s website

-Write JavaScript code to autoplay animations for one-time and repeat-use

-Document and maintain any code or code-updates made for Platform Justice’s website.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ ABILITIES

-Strong understanding of HTML and CSS

-Strong understanding of JavaScript, to include writing scripts to animate icons upon page-load, scroll-behavior and/or infinite-loops

-Direct-experience with animating SVG icons, either through coding or third-party software

-Some experience and familiarity with Adobe Illustrator

-Ability to work independently and make artistic decisions at one’s own discretion

-Participate in weekly team-meetings and provide regular updates on progress.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-A portfolio or projects showcasing animating icons, to demonstrate proficiency


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

You must visit https://www.platformjustice.org, copy the SVG code for the “map” icon at the top of the page, animate the icon using whatever methods you prefer, and attach a video-capture, demonstrating the animation.
