Greetings!

Free Press is seeking an experienced multimedia consultant who will create rapid-response multimedia content for social media to further our audience growth and engagement. Creating and distributing compelling original content is key to Free Press’ marketing and communications strategy of telling our stories and advancing our programmatic work.

Free Press and Free Press Action work to amplify the voices of people and communities in the crucial decisions that shape our media. We believe that positive social change, racial justice and meaningful engagement in public life require equitable access to technology, diverse and independent ownership of media platforms, and journalism that holds leaders accountable and tells people what’s actually happening in their communities. We work at the intersection of media and technology to strengthen our democracy.

We are issuing a RFP is to identify a consultant who can develop rapid-response social media content, including in-app short-form video and graphics. We’re looking for a skilled content creator with efficiency in video editing for social media, graphic designs, and is in tune with the latest trends on social media. The consultant would work with our existing multimedia team, which consists of a social media manager, creative content manager, senior director of marketing and communications and managing director. In addition, our Marketing and Communication Department consists of a senior director of strategic communications, editor, marketing and direct response manager, email production coordinator, senior product director and a web product manager.
