I am excited to share an opportunity at Pratt Institute for an Assistant or Associate Professor, Graduate Communications Design (71102), focusing on Critical technology and Computation.
We are looking for a faculty member who will bring a unique blend of creative and technical expertise, with a strong focus on how computational practices can be applied in innovative and poetic ways. Candidates should be well-versed in the technical aspects of programming and the conceptual underpinnings of design and critical technology. A background in fostering experimental, interdisciplinary projects and engaging with emergent technologies in ways that challenge conventional norms and stimulate critical discourse is essential. The role requires a commitment to nurturing students’ creative exploration while grounding their work in a deep understanding of theoretical frameworks and practices.
