UK visitor seeking help

Hi Guys
I am Owen from England and visiting Palm Spring 18 Oct 18 Nov and
staying with friends, Larry and Bruce. They are not bikers. I need to
fulfill my dream - to ride out in California. I am 52, single and seek
help or advice before I travel. I am hoping to meet for day trips out
with the intention of spending a week touring. I have no planned
itinary as to where to go - I just need to get out and explore with
some good company.

I am willing to cover all expenses for a tour guide or just meet to
chat and socialise. I intend to make my trip and annual event and can
host in the UK.

I can correspond via email, SKYPE and Messneger, and get free calls to
the US.

Hello Owen, I'm Bob Barnes, friends call me Colonel Bob.

I often ride with Desert Cruisers and another small group of buddies, usually on weekends since a lot of them work.  Being retired, i'm pretty available.  Do you have access to a bike here?  If know, there are Harley's for rent right at the Palm Springs Airport.  There are some great rides up into two different mountain ranges, one to Idyllwilde in the San Jacinto mountains, another up to Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrow Head in the San Berbnadinos.  Another is up through Joshua Tree National Park. And finally, one up the mountains then southeast and descending bak down to the desert valley in a big 5 1/2 hour to 6 hour loop.  We could probably pick up a couple guys to join in the weekdays and numerous on weekends.  Stay in touch as time nears.
