Welcome to the new year. We hope everyone is having a great winter!

RESERVE REPACK CLINIC

Similar to last year, some of the flying community has worked to put together a reserve repack clinic on January 12^th at 2pm. Location will be in downtown Bend and detailed information will be emailed after registration. Please register here or by email at deserta...@hotmail.com If by email, please include any infomation you have regarding your reserve. 

Please take the time to familiarize yourself with your reserves manual. You can find online and download and print out. Feel free to reach out if you need any help finding you reserve information by emailing us at deserta...@hotmail.com

We will provide pizza, snacks and beverages (no alcohol allowed) and we can take time to catch up on each others paragliding adventures and any upcoming club needs or concerns.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP - DON'T FORGET TO RENEW 

You can renew by visiting the website join here or emailing DAR at deserta...@hotmail.com if the website is not available. Although a membership with DAR is not required your contributions are appreciated and used to help make our flying sites better. What does the Club do with your membership fees??

• wind socks - the Club provides about $400 worth of wind socks each year to the verious sites
• Site safety supplies such as firstaid kits
• Any community events that members see fit

I will do my best to get the member list updated next week as I see there were a few that registered already. 

FLYING SITE UPGRADES

Ryan is currently working on ordering all new  wind socks and a first aid kit for the Freedom LZ. The current wind socks are finally toast but we didn't have to purchase any last year so that is a cool bonus. We will use this year's budget of $400 to purchase the new wind socks and we may use some of last years unused budget to get new zip ties and swivels. All records will be included in the year review. 

Please feel free to message the Club with any suggestions for site upgrades that you would like to see this year.

It's an election year. Let's take some time at the repack clinic to discuss the Club and a spring meeting time.

Just wanted to clarify that a DAR membership is not required for the repack clinic, everyone is welcome. The registration is simply so we can pass on instructions for the location and have a head count for the pizza. Thanks!
