Just so there is no confusion. Although you will not be able to participate in the club meeting via Zoom, you can still vote in absentia. If not attending in person you may vote via email. The club should reach out to all active members with ballot measures and you have one week to reply with your vote. A copy of the club bylaws have been attached below.

Thanks Harrison, yes, let's get some clarification on this. This will be an "in person" meeting and all votes will need to be from people that attend the meeting in person. If the votes were in "written letter" form then we would do the email/ one week to respond method or something like that. However, this is not the case for this meeting. Hope this helps.

So people who can't be there in person can't vote via email? That doesn't seem in keeping with our bylaws. It would seem especially important to follow club bylaws when electing officers.

Well, we didn't plan for an email vote and historically this is not something that the club has done when there is an in person meeting. It sounded like people wanted an in-person meeting and so that is what we planned. I spoke with Steve Roti, who wrote the bi-laws, and he stated that the intention is for one or the other, not both. Hold an in person meeting or do a written vote in the absence of an in person meeting. This is also how I interpret the bi-laws.

I think that it makes really good sense to do an in person meeting for voting in new officers and such. I think it could make more sense to do a written letter for bi-law changes that require a lot of reading. Of course this is just my 2 cents and super happy to hear other opinions on this. I can add it to the agenda as the first thing we discuss.

Thank you Jen for reaching out to Steve Roti for clarification. See you tomorrow.
