DAR Online Vote for Club Name Change

Your opinion is important to DAR! 

We just sent out an email to review and vote on changing the name of the club to Central Oregon Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association. We believe the name change will be part of a positive move forward for the club. Trevor has put together a template for an updated website and site guide format, check it out at https://www.cohgpa.org/   

• Keeping DAR Logo
• Making a history page on website to honor our past and DAR as a club
• Meet with lawyer to discuss best “Non-profit” structure for club, currently filing as Non-profit amateur sports club
• Fresh name and a new beginning for the club
• Keep current Google chat open and historical content intact. But changing name

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that took the time to vote on the name change and share their thoughts and comments. Since we didn't have a resounding 'yay' from our members we are opting to stay with Desert Air Riders for now and continue moving forward with the priorities we set forth in the last meeting. Bylaws, website changes and Rock L requirements.
