Wade and John came over to hep with the final set-up of my new winch(Cory's old winch). After we finished the job Wade couldn't wait till Sunday to try it out, so we made a dash for China Hat Rd. John was driving, Wade ran the winch and I took the maiden flight on the new truck tow hitch. It was a great flight just after sunset and landing under the almost full moon. I managed to get a few hundred over Horse ridge before punching off and landing in the headlights. Sun we are going to get the system down and hopefully get some other D.A.R members in the air this winter.

Awesome Tim, what are you going to charge for tows? and is there anything I can do to help out as far as learning to be an observer or donations for new line? I recall hearing that that winch was in need of new line...Let me know, Tim

Nice to see someone putting that thing to use! Ever get the line
retrieval system figured out? As I remember we could never get the
line back on the spool before it hit the water(or I guess dirt in this
case).
