Pine Mountain Prescribed Burn announcement

Good Morning,

 

We are planning on conducting a prescribed fire near the Pine Mountain Observatory on June 1^st. I am reaching out because we will be using Unmanned Aerial Systems (drone) for aerial ignitions. I am reaching out to deconflict any airspace concerns with the paragliding community using the Pine Mountain Area. We will be filing a NOTAM for the day of the burn. We usually start our NOTAM at 0400 to make sure early bird pilots can see them for planning purposes.

 

I am one of the UAS pilots that will be flying, and I am happy to chat with you if there is need.
