New Bachelor guides

I'm pleased to report that all three guide candidates have been
approved -- John Iraggi, Tim Reynolds and Peter Hammett. For their
first couple of days the new guides should go up Bachelor with old
guides to go over details of guiding protocol.

Bachelor hasn't started running the summit lift yet this season, but
I'm hoping that will happen later this month. In the meantime I
suggest all guides re-read the Bachelor paragliding rules and guide
checklist in preparation for the season.

Oops, the list of new guides should read: John Iraggi, Eric Darsonval
and Peter Hammett.

I was looking at Tim Reynolds Facebook page and the shock of seeing
his bearded visage apparently affected my mind while I was typing the
list of new guides :-)

Given the new uphill access restrictions at Bachelor (http://www.mtbachelor.com/winter/services/safety_policies/uphill_access/index.html), I asked for clarification on whether we could ride the Pine Marten lift and hike to the summit prior to the opening of the Summit lift. The current answer is no, but they're considering revisions to the policy which might allow us to hike. By the way, the restrictions don't apply in the summer ("These restriction will not apply during the off season when ski operations are not underway").
