DAR Vote for New Bylaws

Hi all,

See attached bylaws. Thanks to the members that have worked hard to review and put this document together. The new bylaws are necessary for maintaining our Chapter status with USHPA. Most of the rules are to meet USHPA chapter requirements. If you have any questions please reply to this thread or email us at deserta...@hotmail.com

I'm sharing the USHPA Chapter requirements - SOP, Chapter responsibilities, and sample bylaws for reference if any members want to review or cross reference with the new DAR ByLaws before signing.

COMMENT 1 - is there a referenced code of conduct. 

Yes, we voted it in last summer and I've attached it here. We will have it posted on the website along with the other updates.

COMMENT 2 - zero hang gliders are members of the board. Last I chatted with them they did not want to be roped into the club activities. Not to speak on their behalf but are they welcome to fly at all sites?

To answer, yes, I believe that hang gliders are welcome at all the sites with the exception of the Rock L per the owners rules. and agreed the HG pilots have never expressed interest in being a part of the club. We will go ahead and remove the couple HG references from the proposed bylaws, seems best.
