DAR is still here and still plugging away... hope everyone had a great winter and is ready for the new flying season!

ANNUAL CLUB MEETING

We'll be having our annual club meeting April 11^th at 7pm. We'll send the details in the following week but just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the date.

It will be a typical annual meeting along with a few other items to discuss

• review and finalize the new bylaws
• summary of last year and the new year
• officer elections - see below

FEASTIVAL OF FREE FLIGHT

You are all invited to the renewal of the paragliding fly-in in Lakeview Oregon July 4-6th. More details to come

OFFICER POSITIONS & STATUS

If you are interested in helping out with the club this coming year, please reach out. Following is a brief summary of each of the positions. Per USPHA requirements, positions are filled for 2 years but we must hold an election each year in case someone wants to take a position. I know for sure that we will need a new president as Trevor and family will be traveling for the next year+

PRESIDENT (OPEN & REQUIRED)

shall be assigned doer and delegator of all Club responsibilities. The President shall, with the Safety Coordinator, develop and implement site risk assessments and safety protocols and implement the necessary risk assessment requirements required by USHPA and/or any applicable insurance company and other Club needs.

VICE PRESIDENT (OPEN & REQUIRED)

shall assist in all Club responsibilities as needed and shall perform duties of the President in case of absence or disability of the President.

SECRETARY (OPEN & REQUIRED)

shall keep the minutes of all meetings, be responsible for all meeting notices and keeping of historical records for the Club, and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned.

TRESURER (FILLED)

shall keep the membership records, receive and deposit all funds, execute all checks for expenditures authorized by the Club Officers, account for all receipts, disbursements and balance on hand each quarter, and perform such other duties as may be assigned.

SAFETY COORDINATOR (FILLED)

shall be responsible for encouraging safety and assisting to develop and implement site risk assessments and safety protocols. The Safety Coordinator must be an USHPA member.

Hey, so we've decided to move the meeting to next week Wednesday the 17th @ 7pm location, 3001 NW Clearwater Drive. This is Andrew's clubhouse, we had the officer meeting here last year. and Sorry for the change of plans but I just wasn't able to get all the preparation done for the meeting and also we couldn't guarantee that 2 officers would be able to make it. I'll post again with an agenda and re-cap on the previous message.

Hope to looooots of faces at the meeting!! It's spring time, time to fly and have fun and you know... oh and deal with a little club stuff too 😉

There has been a change to the location. Due to the good weather and consensus we will have the meeting at the freedom LZ following a sky party 🥳🪂
