I am setting up a new computer with Windows 11, which I am new to. I have two different applications that use the USB Audio Codec connections to receive and send sounds. When I first start the computer, neither of these apps is getting audio from Line-in; Output works fine. On the Sound>Mixer page, the apps do not appear. I can see that input audio is available because the Volume level indicator on the System>Sound page is moving back and forth. If I run the Sound Troubleshooter on the Input Devices, it tells me it is reinstalling the device drivers. After that, both apps work and get audio in; the Mixer page shows the app. However, when I restart the computer, I am back to square one with no audio input to the applications. Under Windows 10, this exact setup worked perfectly. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hello,

we have problem with HP Driverpack for EliteBook 820 / 840 /... G1 --> SP66432

I use this Driverpack for installation via SCCM 2012 R2. Everything gets installed fine execpt the Audio Driver (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) After the installation of a new EliteBook 820 or 840 with Win7x64 via SCCM the Audio device is listes corretly in Devicemanager, but Audio doesn't work. (so it says "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" in Device Manager but Audio doesn't work, no sound)

In the Original HP Driverpack the Verion 6.10.6491.0 of IDT High Definition Audio is included.

I now allrey have replaced this with the current Version 6.10.6499.0 and tested again. No success during SCCM installation, all other devices get installed without any Problems.

Also If I uninstall the device in DeviceManager and then manually sepcify the INF file of the IDT High Defi...driver it also doesn't work.

Only way currently is to manually run the setup.exe installer of the Audio driver, then Audio works without Problems. But thats no real solution for a automated installation, and the driver is included in the Original HP driverpack, so I expect that it is possible to install the Audio device via INF and not only via setup.exe installer.

Anyone experience the same Issue.

Please Help.

I have the same problem with the HP ProBook 640 G1.... everything but the IDT High Def driver get's installed. I am deploying images via MDT, similar to SCCM. The device shows as installed in the device manager but the audio is disabled and says no audo device is installed.

2. use a batch file to copy both the application folder to the c: and another batch that runs the "setup.exe /S" to the "all user startup" after a reboot. This way the driver should get installed automatically after a reboot.

3. use a batch file to copy the driver folder to "C:\Windows\INF". This is the default location windows looks for drivers on the system. after a reboot windows should self install (nothing happens).

1. adding the driver package to the applications and installed as an application. THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH THE SILENT SWITCH. The command gets executed but with the silent switch nothing happens. This has to be a manual installation.

My guess is that maybe the driver in this pack has not been signed by the vendor - meaning it's installation cannot be automated. I suppose you could get the tools and sign the driver yourself or set windows to ignore driver signatures... but I didn't go that far.

Manuall installation or silent installation executed manually from the command-line are the only options that work. repackaging drivers is not such a good idea and this issue does not seem to be big enough for HP to deal with.

I was having this same issue with the Elitebook 840... I ended up disabling the IDT drivers in SCCM and just letting windows use a compatable driver that it could find. This generic driver works with PC speakers, headphones, and line out on dock as far as I have tested. Hope this helps. I realize this thread is old and you have probably already found a fix.

Thank you, but GoClever send me other drivers. Now I have other problem. I connect headphones to 3,5 mm sound jack. Work speakers on tablet. After I disconnect 3,5 mm jack from tablet and tablet speakers are "off". How to invert? Speakers are default device. Uninstall driver and again install still wont work.

I have drivers by GoClever Support (still wont exist Windows 10 TH2 (v1511 10586) new Audio driver for GoClever Insignia 800 Win by Intel) and working Audio driver is for tablet GoClever Insignia 1010 Bussines because other Intel driver wont work for me on Windows 10 TH2. I try upgrade from Win 10 10240 to TH2 v1511 10586 and now clean install Windows 10 TH2 (v1511 10586) from USB on tablet. After I install drivers + Windows Updates. Audio driver work only with headphones in 3.5 mm jack. Headphones wont work, work only tablet speakers. I this problem also report on support for Windows Insiders and Microsoft Support. Microsoft recommend contact Intel support.

Yes, I contacted GoClever. I wrote up that I have driver from GoClever Support, but they give me only driver for GoClever Insignia 1010 Bussines because someone else does not want work on GoClever Insignia 800 Win with Windows 10 v.1511 10586, but this audio driver have problem with 3.5 mm jack yet. If are headphones connected to 3.5 mm jack (wont work headphones), tablet speaker works. If I disconnect 3.5 mm jack, tablet speakers are off.

Hi, i have tablet colorovo supreme tab 8 and the same problem with audio after update to win10. I try to install drivers from win8 and no succes. I got the idea to install the audio drivers from the Lenovo Tablet dedicated to the processor atom z3735 and surprisingly works.

I have been trying to fix my audio issue on my HP Omni 10 tablet (intel atom processor) for over a month now. Ever since I upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10, I've had no sound. I had tried everything recommended solution from Windows, and Intel, and I even was on the phone with an HP support person for 3 hours as she tried everything, to no avail!

I have one Micromax canvas Lapbook L1161 with atom z3735F. the windows 10 has been upgraded to v10.0 build 10240. my intel SST audio device & realtek I2S audio codec are of version 604.10154.1010.4947. now the problem is, before applying your solution only speaker driver was shown in playback device list but sound was not coming neither by speaker nor by audio jack. after applying your solution only speaker generates the sound but headphone still not working, actually I found that no headphone device is there in the playback device list, only speaker is showing. if I connect a headphone, still then only speaker generates sound.

I had tried everything to no avail. As one last effort before resigning myself to using an external bluetooth speaker for the rest of my computer's life, I tried this method, and it magically restored my speakers to perfect working order. Thanks so much!

I am doing bring-up of imx6qp based custom board. Last part of my bring up is audio codec. We are using wm8974 codec connected as slave device on i2c3 bus. I can see codec address on I2C bus using i2cdetect but i2cdump fails.

Is there a document specifying all the codec signal formats & configurations for the iMX8 audio module ?

I need to connect two off Texas Instruments TLV320AIV20 series codecs to the iMX8. Despite being old these are still made, but mainly as customer has extensive qualified hardware and software for these devices.

These codecs use a clock, data in, data out and a frame sync signal. The frame sync is pulsed high for one cycle before the MSB is clocked out/in. These are 16 bit two channel devices.

There's still a bit around for this device so that's a good start! Within my Yocto build this driver still exists so check your build /sound/soc/codecs/tlv320*.c and see what you've got; it might just be a matter of selecting it in your kernel config and bolting it up. The driver will take care of all the framing etc leaving the physical connections; have a scratch around for circuit/dev board examples of the iMX8 TDM connections and device tree adjustments.

I recently bought a Behringer U-Phoria um2 to record some vocals and scratch parts. My Macbook Pro 15 with the El capitan 10.15.4 system recognizes the audio Interface with the USB AUDIO CODEC (DEMO) drivers. I got a beep tone every 30 seconds :-/. I tried to delete the drivers as suggested in many forums but could not find them. Has annyone a suggestion? Could i download other drivers? Maybe update the CODEC ones? Any help would be appreciated.

We have purchased the TLV320DAC3203 Audio codec chip and going to interface with STM32F413 Controller over I2C interface.I need to develop driver code for this audio codec.I didn't find any sample code for interfacing to external controller. Can anyone provide sample code for this codec .

I'm working through an audio codec integration on an IMX8MP platform and have been having issues with configuration/development of the sound card driver for my board. This is a custom carrier board using the Boundary Devices Nitrogen8MP SOM. We've wired ECSPI2 to the CODEC and have options to route the CODEC's ADC Digital interface to either SAI2 or SAI5. I've populated some resistors to wire it to SAI5 at the moment. Only the ADC interfaces of the CODEC are connected -- to four on-board microphones.
