Subforum

I think we need a stickied thread on the subforum for people to post
'new' ideas for FAQ submission - ie stuff not already in one of the
existing threads.

First post would be a post saying to look here (google group) first,
because a lot of work has already been done here that will only slowly
make its way to the subforum. If people can't find anything about
their 'issue' here, then they can suggest it in the stickied thread.

Does that sound like a sensible plan to you guys? Any better
suggestions?

I've started with just three threads on the subforum because two of
them are quite major in importance. But it might be better to have
more at a time.
I figure each time we post a new thread(s) in the subforum we should
announce it in the main forum sticky thread.

I think that would be a great idea. I posted the one up - that you replied too - just to get something into the forum that Anton can sticky.

Should a thread be the way to go? or should we have people look at the google groups and email us at that (I think they can just email the group and we'll all get the message?? maybe?)

They could also email: desce...@googlegroups.com

Use that as the avenue for FAQ items? After they have looked first at the google group to see if it is already on there?

Forum.   Not through email.  Keep the process as transparent to the user base as possible.

Yeah, that's the way I see it. As much as possible in the forum - this group is now more of a reference until we decide we have everything 'refined' enough to pass to FFG I think .

I'll start that thread. I'll include a note to please check the Google group to see whether a new point is already being looked at before posting suggestions on the forum.

Eric, could you get Anton to sticky the new thread I start, and also the 'Purpose' thread.
