Central Iowa User Groups

Hello all,

The purpose of this email is two fold.

The first is to inform you (if you didn't know already) of the formation of the Des Moines Meta User Group (http://groups.google.com/group/des-moines-meta-user-group). It's purpose is to: increase participation amongst user groups, cross pollinate groups and introduce people to other user groups, and to add variety/diversification to user group communities. Please join and help us accomplish our goals.

The second is the creation of a shared calendar listing the times and locations of the local user groups. I have published at http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=ptepa42l9ueh3u51tlg9v3mims%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Chicago and the iCal/ics feed at http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/ptepa42l9ueh3u51tlg9v3mims%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics . It is also searchable on Google's calendar search as Central Iowa User Groups. Please verify that I have your meeting times and location correct. If you need to make a change, let me know and I will set up the permissions to allow you to edit the calendar.

Also, if there are any user groups in the area that we may have missed, by all means forward this to them. Thanks,

I started a Python Users Group last month and we decided that we would
meet once a month on the first Monday of the month. Our next meeting
is November 3rd. We meet at the following location:

We are currently working on an official website, but it won't be up
for a while.
