I have a user who every time she opens a blank meeting window the goto screen pops up asking her to logon. This is a new comptuer, did not install Goto Connect or the Goto Outlook addon. Read it could be an issue with webview2. Did a repair as there was no option to uninstall. Searched the users profile folder and removed any mention of Goto, I even manually cleared some thins from the registry.
@KateG alas that did not work either. after that not working, in the meeting window I hit File > Options and then skimmed thru the options then I saw this. Calendar options, I see the Add online meeting to all meetings. Clicked the button and Goto was selected. Changed to Teams and that was the fix. I STILL Do not understand how Goto had its hooks in outlook when nothing was installed.
So when I am trying to uninstall the Zoom outlook plug in the file that was supposed to be uninstalled cannot be found. I get a message that the path C:\users\pboza\Appdata\Roaming\ZoomPlugin\CheckForUpdate\5.3.52819.0925.msi cannot be found. The installation package 5.3.52819.0925.msi is missing and therefore cannot be uninstalled. The problem is that the plug in remains in my outlook and cannot remove it from my Settings > Apps and Features.
@PetrosBoz Since this is a Microsoft community talking about a Microsoft product, why is someone offering 3rd party software to uninstall a Microsoft product? Isn't there a Zoom Removal tool? All good/ but Intrusive software applications have them. Can someone please give me the Registry Entries or the Zoom Outlook Plugin Removal tool to uninstall this plugin? Then I can reinstall. I uninstalled office365 desktop suite but, because of Microsoft 0365 account, the zoom plugin persists along with BROKEN plugins after uninstalling and reinstalling Office365.
Note: For a better experience, Zoom recommends using the Zoom for Outlook add-in (web and desktop), particularly if your organization has computers running macOS. Microsoft will be blocking injection-based plugins from running in Outlook for macOS, and only allowing add-ins available through the Microsoft store. Initially planned for June 2020, this timeline has been postponed and is to be determined by Microsoft. We recommend migrating your organization to the add-in instead of using the desktop plugin.
The Zoom Microsoft Outlook plugin is designed to make scheduling a meeting in Microsoft Outlook quick and convenient. The plugin allows you to schedule and start instant Zoom meetings, as well as make existing meeting events Zoom meetings. The Outlook Plugin can also sync free/busy times to the Zoom Client based on your Outlook Calendar events (Windows only - download the latest version here).
You can download the Zoom Microsoft Outlook Plugin MSI file from the Download Center. Once the download is complete, run the MSI file and follow the install wizard to complete the installation. You will need to restart Outlook before using the Plugin.
Note: Several versions of Outlook do not support the options to Schedule a Meeting or Start Instant Meeting. If you do not see these in the main ribbon bar, please check to see if they appear after creating a new appointment or calendar event.
If you want to see it in action, Matthew Maguire on our Business Development team created a full video demo of how he uses Connect and all of the benefits he receives from it. This video was made a few months ago and, as Connect receives frequent updates and enhancements, there have been multiple improvements since this demo was recorded
Please make sure your organization will fulfil the prerequisites for using Connect as you learn more. In addition to the links I included above, you can also read through the solutions page about Connect on our website, as well as the corresponding and detailed overview document. I'd encourage you to reach out to your CSM here at Sugar for more in-depth details (or I'm happy to connect you if you'd like - just let me know).
Bruce McIntyre If you're referring to "Connect includes a meeting scheduler, so clients can book time directly on your calendar," it does not sync to an external calendar for that, but instead looks at the open spots in the user's calendar and show the free available times. For more detail on this, I'd recommend the linked section of the user guide. I hope this helps!
Hi Alex,
I have som questions that are related to this so I hope you don't mind :) I would need some help with clarifying some Sugar Connect questions from one of our customers:
They have the outlook plugin today which works fine, but now some new employees will use Mac and therefore need Connect. They have Sugar Professional, version 8.0.1. They have whitelisted the required IP addresses.
Hi, thank you for your replies. I don't see that this clipper is working for Outlook for Mac. There are add-ins but they work just for outlook.com or the Office 360 verion online. My outlook which is installed on my mac, don't has this clipper. I have tried to install it in my office 360 account only but it doesn't show up in my outlook for mac.
I have the same problem I have added evernote but its not appearing in my MAC install. I wish there was just a download you could get that does the work for you... much easier... I don't even see an addin's section of the outlook desktop app...
I installed the ad in for Outlook for Mac and it showed up. However, it disappears when I access my gmail account in outlook, and then it reappears when I check my other account (which is through Clemson University). I read elsewhere that the Evernote clipper does not work with accounts setup with IMAP. Maybe that's the issue here. Such a bummer. I may just set my gmail to forward to my other account so I can use the clipper. That's the reason I switched over to outlook in the first place.
I don't think this is an Evernote only issue. I have reached out to Microsoft many times in the past asking about this very issue. Because they have the ability to clip to OneNote in the Mac app (not sure about Windows) I get the feeling that this is done by design on Microsoft's end. I have multiple msn.com emails that work with the Evernote plugin perfectly. My icloud, gmail, and a few others do not have the option to clip to Evernote, just OneNote. I believe that there is a request on Microsoft's UserVoice forum to remedy this but I don't think it's going to happen.
I have a MS Office 365 account and Outlook v16.23 in my Mac. The 'Save to Evernote' icon appears on my toolbar and works for every email account I have operating there; MS O365 Exchange, iCloud and a standard IMAP account. I loaded the 'Send to Evernote' feature in my O363 online 'dashboard' where you can select apps. When I first installed, it took some time to appear on my desktop version of Outlook. After a restart it was there and has worked well ever since.
Do you happen to have a Business 365 account? I have it on my personal and it isn't there. So either I'm missing a setting somewhere or it's not enabled for my account for some reason. I get the same result no matter where I use Outlook (thought admittedly I don't use it often)
Yes, I do have a business account. I also have a personal premium account. In the personal account I can add Evernote in the web interface by creating an email and clicking on the dropdown menu- bottom of message (three dots). You will see Evernote listed there and you then execute a sign in to your Evernote account. I have included a link to the MS instructions, however in my Outlook the drop down is on the bottom of the message and the interface is a bit different. I am not sure how well this cascades to your desktop.
I'm trying to get the Mac plugin for Evernote to work on my Mac Pro. Running Outlook 16.27. I have several different types of accounts, Exchange, iMap & Google (iMap). When I select one of my Exchange accounts, the "Get Add-Ins" icon appears, but doesn't work when I click it. When I select one of my iMap accounts, the "Get Add-Ins" icon appears and does work, but when I search for "Evernote", it doesn't find anything. Very frustrating!
