To use the CDJ-3000 with Serato DJ Pro, you will need to ensure it is using the latest firmware version. This can be downloaded from Pioneer DJ. For more information on how to update the firmware please watch the tutorial below.
On the screen of the CDJ-3000, you can now browse the music library in Serato DJ Pro when the application is running on a PC/Mac connected to the multi player. You can also scratch tracks and control Hot Cues, tempo, key, and more using the professional interface of the CDJ-3000.

The Radius 3000 is a professional CD/MP3/WAV player with Midi capabilities so DJs can control their favorite music playback software. It features a large 6-inch (150mm) jog wheel, 9 on-board DSP effects, and a large bright display that shows track titles and artist ID tags. Radius 3000 has a white LED visual marker display that rotates around the jog wheel to show the reference point of where the CD/MP3/WAV disc is playing.
The Radius 3000 also offers features only found on the highest quality CD Players, such as: Slot load CD Drive, Quick CD/MP3/WAV disc recognition, SD Card and USB inputs, Advanced Track Search (search for a new track while one is playing), 10 seconds of Anti-shock memory, Seamless Loop, 3 Flash Start buttons, Digital BPM Counter, and Digital Output (S/PDIF).
DJs can scratch tracks and control Hot Cues, tempo, key, and more using the professional interface of the CDJ-3000. All they have to do is connect their CDJ-3000s to a Serato DJ Pro unlocked device or a supported device with a Serato DJ Pro license or subscription.
Been using serato since it came out in 2005 and pioneer for the last 7 years or so. From experience pioneer has the worst tech support ever and their right to repair philosophy is non existent so this should be interesting to watch play out. This is very interesting. I wonder what becomes of rekordbox. I have a cheap pioneer dj controller that I use with rekordbox, mainly just as a more hands on listening experience for my music rather than doing any real DJing.
I should add that although i mostly use serato i also use rekordbox which has a couple nice features not present in serato. My usual set up is a pioneer s9 with either technics or rane twelves. But one of the spots i play at has cdj3000s with 900mk2. I gotta say the integration with serato makes my life easier (ie allows me to play off serato instead of rekordbox).
