open spot @ Columbia

I heard there is a spot open @ Columbia- that one of the PGY-2
residents got fired. I dont know what she did - everyone refuses to
talk about it. Anyone know any further info? Are they just gonna
match an extra person this year?

Not yet. They cannot fill her spot yet...I heard through the grapevine
that she is contesting it. No idea why she was fired...but yes it's
not a good sign that NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT

yeah, its sort of a strange situation. I have heard of residents
documenting false info on H&Ps, taking unapproved vacation, fighting
w. colleagues, being rude to patients and attendings - and still not
getting fired. She must have done something really f---'ed up.

Yes cause if it is true many people want that spot, weather they be
research fellows, interns who are reappling or residents at other
programs who want to be closer to home and transfer.
