On a bounty hunter when the same thing happens, you kill him because you don't care about human life and you want to tie up a loose end. You don't always do it BECAUSE I'M BAD AND I LIKE IT, you end up doing it a lot because I DON'T GIVE A DAMN AND ITS EASY.
without spoiling the story though, I can tell you right now- If you like killing jedi, dark side bounty hunter all the way. As a sith, you don't really think about it because you're supposed to kill jedi- its your job. But as a bounty hunter, around chapter 2... Oh man, you sure do hate those damn jedi.
I went light side and a fair percentage of the time my choices and the light side choices matched up. I was a bounty hunter doing a job after all, not a homicidal maniac with an axe to grind. There were some major times where they didn't though and my inner dark side was screaming at me as I clicked the light side option.
As the above poster said, you really start to hate the jedi with a personal vengeance most unbecoming of a bounty hunter. If you go light side you are happy to let innocent bystanders escape as you pursue only your contracted target. You also, however, have to let a bunch of people that need some serious shooting live as well, and that's..... really... unpleasant.
There should be a way to improve our light/dark without having to drop a crew skill and go diplomacy, or give us some equality as neutral with regards to vendors. Because I'd really have liked to just follow my own compass and not be penalised for it.
A lot of the light side choices as said are more moral compass. Sometimes to that end Killing people is the light side choice, while not killing them is the dark side. This comes with the jobs that are dead or alive. Some of them think it better to die than be captured, so killing them is dark, but some of them fear death more so killing them is dark.
Companion affection is really moot because they can easily be fixed with gifts.. like in RL. That being said i went DS first because I like to make evil characters; to me it felt a bit more rewarding (I'm the type of guy who always K.O.s that reporter in mass effect). Some people will probably post that LS is the "true" cannon to BH which i call BS but its your choice.
An evil bounty hunter doesn't make sense, because its why the villain in chapter 1 is reviled by the mandalorians. Best way to play Bounty hunter is to have some sort of code of honor. Like, always finish the Job you are hired to do, and do it precisely as the client wants it done.
That's exactly what I did, and was delightfully surprised to be just about square in the middle of neutrality. I always treat my crew members and clients with respect, and get the job done no matter what while leaving room for opportunity.
If you want to have a more mandalorian feel to your character, do lightside. As LS bounty hunter is all about being honourable or following your contract. From memory, most of the DS kills were unnecessary, just for fun violence. A few were to tie up loose ends from memory though. DS does not make too much sense to me especially following the events of chapter 2.
hires you to whack her husband and get her son on a ship to Korriban for Sith training. The LS choice is to let the father take the son away, never to return, and lie to the woman, saying that the son is on his way to Korriban.
A mando would honor the contract and the person who gave the contract, whether fulfilling that contract was brutal or cruel. If the mando felt it was dishonorable, they simply would not take the contract.
I 100% agree with mixing it up, because sometimes you get an option where you seriously think the logical thing to do is what the light side option (or vice versa) is but because your going full dark you have to choose the other illogical option. Mixing it up gives you the freedom to do what you want your character to be, it's great for rp.
Altough for Jedis its going to be MOSTLY all LS if you really roleplay a "regular" jedi, a Sith that is slightly on the calculation side, or have some patriotism in him might get more LS point than you'd think.
A member of a race cursed by the god Apollo. They cannot be out in daylight and they must live on the blood of each other. On their 27th birthday, they die a slow and painful death over the course of a twenty-four hour period unless they decide to turn Daimon and prey on human souls. So long as the human soul is alive inside them, they can live. The moment the soul expires, they die. Therefore, they are always trying to find new souls to take.
Squires who are called out to perform blood hunts to terminate any Squire who breaches his/her oath and endangers the Dark-Hunters or their world. They are also called in to execute a "rogue" Dark-Hunter who has turned against humans. Blood-Rites Squires are marked by a spider web-like tattoo on the hand.
An Apollite who refuses to docilely die over a curse s/he had no part in creating. They feed on human souls and fight the Dark-Hunters. They are mistakenly called vampires, but vampires are a different entity.
They are the gods of sleep who were cursed by Zeus to feel no emotion whatsoever. But they carry within them a dark secret that could completely shake the world in which they live. The Oneroi branch are often helpers to the Dark-Hunters.
They are assigned to a specific DH and they maintain the DH's home. They often fetch for them as well. They are aids and personal assistants. They live with the Dark-Hunter and help to create an illusion that there's nothing unusual going on with the occupants of a house.
Limanis are also many sanctuaries in the human world for us. In a pinch, you can always run to a club or home of the Arcadian and Katagaria packs. So long as you keep your fangs in your mouth, they will tolerate you in their havens.
These are the cities that house large Apollite communes where Daimons are welcome: Las Vegas, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco, Paris, Rome, Athens, London, Helsinki, Rio, Los Angeles, Honk Kong, Montreal
DC not kewl. Too many blood-sucking lawyers, IRS, and politicians. They have no souls to prey on and the poor pitiful people who do are quickly bled dry by them. You'll starve if you try to live there.
A Katagari who has lost all control of his/her powers and has been driven insane by them. They are indiscriminate killers and are hunted, then put down by the Strati and Sentinels. It's also a term that the Arcadians use for any strong Katagari fighter, and one they use to justify killing any Katagari they find.
A human who is employed by a Dark-Hunter or a human who has skills that make a Dark-Hunter's life a bit easier. They have an entire organization set up and are willing to die or kill to protect the secret of the DH world.
The Katagaria equivalent to an Arcadian Sentinel, i.e. super warriors who are even stronger than the rest of their people. Aside from the difference between their subspecies, the Strati do not have the facial markings of the Sentinels. The Arcadians refer to them as Slayers, but Slayers to the Katagaria are those who have lost control of their powers and have been driven insane by them. A true Slayer is hunted and put down by the Strati.
At one time, there were thousands of Malachai. But after the first war was fought between the gods, they were all destroyed. All except one. Their leader and fiercest warrior who was the original Malachai spawned: Drakon. He is the great-grandfather to Nick. He lived for thousands of years until his son, Teresun Malachai replaced him. In time, Adarian Malachai was born and he, in turn, with the help of Noir, killed his father. Adarian spent centuries serving Noir until he was able to break free of Azmodea and reenter the world of Man where he has been hiding ever since.
The Malachai are allowed to have children, but only one will inherit the powers of their father. The majority of their children never survive childhood and it is said that if a son makes it to age ten, he will then be the one to kill or cause the death of his father, and then assume the full Malachai powers for himself.
Originally part of the Apollite race, a Were-Hunter's DNA was magically spliced with animals so that they wouldn't die at age 27. Now they are shape-shifters who are embroiled in a war against each other and they live for centuries, but are not immortal.
Hero Talents are a new evergreen form of character progression that will be introduced with the release of The War Within expansion. In this article, we take a closer look at the philosophies around Hero Talents and the Keeper of the Grove Druid,...
I think the current iteration is more focused on MM benefits/synergy than BM. The cooldown refreshing aspect of Black Arrow focusing on Barbed Shot seems a bit redundant with how often Barbed Shot CD resets with BM talents currently.
Hope we can get glyphs for arcane shot (shadow shot?) And aimed shot (black smoke effect maybe?) To really get the theme going!
Edit; flayed shot glyph for kill shot would be awesome aswell for all specs
Edit 2; incoperate Wailing Arrow into the tree somehow (maybe have Black Arrow proc it?)
For the sake of the game and balance you need to completely remove Chaos Brand and Mystic Touch, or as an absolute minimum you need to spread those effects around so they can come from more than one source.
Black Arrow:
PVP issues if it has no dispel protection and on a 30 second cooldown. I like it, but it has the same problem that survival had in mop. One dispel and its gone and has a long cooldown to reapply.
