I have cubase LE 3 (my first Cubase purchase) and a liscence for that on a second dongle so I might dig up an old PC laptop and keep it around just a s a host for darbuka and latigo but I have no idea how to slave that to my main rig _ instructions are welcome
64 bit will allow you to handle what ever ram you have installed on your pc instead of being stuck with the 32 bit limit of 4 gig so if you have 16 gig then 16 gig of ram is what it uses which means your are never stressing or pushing your pc and cubase to the limit , it works floorlessly here on 64 bit and to me it was well worth the move to 64bit
Note THIS! You will only gain from extra ram (and thus a 64bit OS) if you use it. If you never have out of memory warnings, you dont need more ram. The only situation you need large amounts of ram for is if you run many very heavy sample vstis like Kontakt, with again very large libraries loaded.
So load your most complex cubase project and look in taskmanager how much ram cubase uses.
of users : it's a bit sad to get garageband, logic pro 7 or cubase working into osx86 but with a standart soundcard, enough to play with a little time, but not enough to make real songs (24bits/96Khz) on a x86 pc...
Yea! got it to login and run, BUT cant hear playback while using, it records just fine but can't seem to figure out how to hear while i'm playing, Any ideas any one? using cubase elements 7 & 8, windows 7 64 bit ultimate.
