2 steps from this guide helped me: What does Notifications Silenced in Messages Mean and How to Disable it? My husband complained to me that I am ignoring his messages while I am in my office. The notification silenced message was appearing to him, first I was totally unaware about this feature. Later when I researched, I found out that a schedule Do not disturb mode was activating between 1pm to 4pm automatically so I disabled it which was by mistake activated and force restarted my phone( i don't know if this step is necessary but I did it ) and thats how I tackled this issue.
That just means she has upgraded her iOS and has used the Focus settings on her device. Most people don't even know why or how this setting is on. Apple made a complicated "Do Not Disturb" setting with "Focus" setting. Not even the apple support knows how to turn it off.
This is not personal. it is a setting in the phone to give us breaks from all messages and electronics. Mine turns on and off at the same time every day. It is a form of self care and applied to all notifications.
However, if a user does not have a Focus enabled that should result in this notification being displayed, yet the notification still appears, we recommend that they update to iOS 15.2. Steps for updating can be found here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Have you upgraded to the iOS 15.1.1 recently? If you have you need to check all your devices that use your Apple ID and make sure the dumb "Focus" settings are disabled. More importantly check to make sure the "Share Across Device" is off. If any of your devices have the "Share Across Device" on, all devices with the same Apple ID will have the notifications silenced.
FYI, all my focus settings are set to off, Do not disturb, personal, work, driving has been deleted along with sleep. Each individual contact is set to allow notifications. Messaging in settings is set to allow notifications.
His phone shows my "set to silence notifications" message with all our settings 100% set the same. Toggling on/off. Signing in and out of iCloud and rebooting etc. changes nothing. Some said the issue was fixed in other threads only to to return and say it was back.
Also in the OP it shows Vinneta208 in SMS mode so he would not likely see that message as it isn't in iMessage mode. But I do not know this for fact it doesn't show in SMS mode. (Need to get beside my buddy with his iPhone 13 and check it). It does show up in the screen grab up but Molly iMessaged him. He never commented again.
I am having trouble figuring out how to send a message silently using discord.js as all my previous attempts have failed and I couldn't find any documentation online about sending silent messages with bots.
After console logging sent silent messages and comparing them to regular messages I noticed that silent messages had flags: MessageFlagsBitField bitfield: 4096 while regular messages had flags: MessageFlagsBitField bitfield: 0
Often times I want to message someone after hours so as to not forget the next day, but avoid doing so because it is rude. An "@silent" message will allow me to send that message without alerting the recipient.
We have channels where some people have notifications for every message since they have to react to most of the chat in there, having the ability to silence notifications from the senders side would make it able to add more info/replies to one of the messages without alerting everyone all the time.
Or it's weekend and i found something interesting that i want to share but not notify people over, because it's off topic and i don't know if someone gets notifications for all messages in that channel.

I have recently started getting calls from random US numbers that leave a few blank seconds of voicemail. This means I have to keep checking voicemail and deleting these empty voicemail messages. It's time consuming and annoying! Some numbers are calling multiple times, but blocking them on my phone still just sends them to voicemail. Can't Public just automatically ignore/delete silent voicemail messages? Is it a timing issue and Public isn't giving enough time for people to hang up?
Both blocking calls, and declined calls will apply to the *67* condition. Blocked calls (based on your phones blocklist) will be silently redirected/forwarded to the dead end number, and you won't see notification of it at all. For other calls, you'll still SEE the call and then you can choose to decline it manually which will also send the call to the same dead-end number. If you IGNORE the call, it will flow through to your voicemail after 4 rings or whatever as usual.
Best to set the busy/declined/blocked conditional call forward to a dead end and then decline the calls as per my last post so that the robocaller system sees the call as failed or not in service rather than answered at all, even by voicemail.
Now when you see an incoming call you know is junk, decline the call while it's ringing and it will NOT go to your voicemail. If you block the number, future calls from the number will also automatically be declined and NOT sent to your voicemail.
The question to the OP is...can they live without voicemail. I know I can!! Not sure how big the voicemail boxes are by plan but the $15 plan allows 10. Is a PITA if you have to waste calling time and your time for a blank message. So you could just leave your voice mail box full but I believe they erase and reset after a few days. Also what happens if you do a reset on your My Account? Does the reset make it not work at all? Because the next step after the reset is to set it up again. But it does boil down, to me anyways, to have a very accurate list of contacts, friends, aguaintences and enemies. Then if no name shows....then decide to answer or not.....and should be able to attach an unknown number to the voicemail. Bottom line is a PITA that you can't get away from. I love the calls from the USA for septic tank service....like we all have one!!!
Regrettably, there's no easy fix for unwanted callers leaving voice messages, and likely no available technology to ignore silent messages. (some may be just enough an audible signal that it is able to produce a message - even though no words were audible)
I NEVER answer any calls from numbers/people you either don't recognize or are not on your contact list. If the person calling you needs you bad enough, they will leave a voice message, if they don't bother leaving one, you likely didn't need to hear from them.
To give this contact the option to override a Focus, so any important messages can get through, turn on Emergency Bypass. You might turn it on for a family member, caretaker, or colleague, for example.
When will interactive message buttons be a available for ephemeral messages? I need them to let the user choose and then post. But all others should not see the message where the current user makes a call.
Are you trying to implement gifs? If yes, I have a solution that works with preview and selection of several gifs. I would need to upload it to github, in case someone is interested. Or I can deploy it somewhere, with some minor changes it should work for several users.

Silent messages are special messages that don't increase the unread messages count nor mark a channel as unread. Creating a silent message is very simple, you only need to include the silent field boolean field and set it to true.
It is also possible to send system messages. System messages differ from normal messages in the way they are presented to the user. Like the name says, system messages are normally send from the system itself, but a user is able to send it as well by specifying type: 'system' with the message. The user who sends a system message client-side should have the Create System Message permission. Server-side system messages don't need that permission.
P.S. These blocks of text disappear and reappear a couple times during the boot sequence and change size as they do so. I might be more willing to allow a non-silent boot sequence if messages stayed on screen throughout, so ideas to eliminate that issue are also welcome
I guess all the people in add option for silent boot Issue #32555 NixOS/nixpkgs GitHub are just using local fixes, and for some reason nobody thought to do what they did for stage 1 for stage 2? I think the best way to get this fixed is to reply to that issue to double check that was missed, and then just implement the stage 1 fixes there - it should be straightforward as far as init changes go.
