For the last few weeks, whenever I use the Home app to view my Nest WiFi settings, the app's "Devices" tab will either display the message "Something went wrong" or, alternatively, a spinning wheel graphic. This means that I am unable to view the list of client devices connected to my Nest WFi network and that I cannot prioritise or pause them.
Sorry for the troubles you're having with the Home app. I'm sure that's quite frustrating. There is actually a known bug right now in the Home app that we have identified and we're working to fix. Thanks for pitching in with your experience as everyone's input is helping us to diagnose and fix the matter.
I just wanted to check in real fast to see if we still needed help on this one or if everyone was able to sort out their issues. With the recent update on the Home app, I'm hoping things smoothed out for those who were experiencing issues. If there's anything else we still need here, just let me know.
2. The old, deprecated Google Wifi app doesn't have the issue. It works successfully, reliably, and quickly to refresh and display all Wifi network devices, even when the Google Home app does not. I can quickly switch back and forth between the two apps, and Google Wifi app will always work reliably, whereas the Google Home app gets stuck trying to refresh/display network devices.
Here is a video demonstrating the issue, with timestamps/chapters showing the differences between Home vs Wifi app, and cellular vs Wifi, plus one instance where the refresh worked on the Home app: =JGZ8krYUI1c
So there is IMHO two problems. One is that with the latest 16.04 kernel (4.4.0-21-generic) the firmware (as far as I understand it) makes the Broadcom 43602 WIFI chip not to work when booting initially. After suspend resume or

I am using a Lenovo B570, an older laptop with a minimal Phoenix BIOS and, I believe, a Broadcom 4313. Proprietary wifi works out-of-the-box using my LiveUSB of 16.04. I only lack wifi after installation. So, I figured this is a failure of my hardware configuration.
In order to get the proprietary driver installed and activated (albeit broken as described above) via the Additional Drivers tab, I needed to manually deactivate my wifi hardware via my laptop switch. Only then was the Additional Drivers tool able to apply the change from the default open source kernel wifi driver. Upon reboot, I had an internet connection at the proper speed, but this displayed in Ubuntu networking as an ethernet connection, and thus could not show wifi hotspot. It merely accepted manual input of a wifi profile.
I went into my BIOS. The only thing I can change at all is the wifi switch and the boot order of devices and operating systems. I switch the wifi on and off. Saved. I switched ubuntu from the #1 slot to the #2 slot and my networking card to the #1 slot as if I were setting up a network boot. I rebooted. After a few seconds, the network boot fails, then proceeded to the Ubuntu loading screen as normal. Immediately upon boot, proprietary wifi worked perfectly with 16.04. Could it be a power issue, a networking hardware or BIOS bug? A coincidental repair of unknown origin?
I've definitely allowed the permissions for not only my phone allowing media access to the app and aswell I believe I've don't everything correct on my headset as it even says my files have been synced.
Hello, thanks for reaching out! We see that you're experiencing trouble retrieving your synced media on the Oculus app for your Android phone. We understand how important it is to have the apps working on your phone since you're standalone. Nevertheless, we're glad to be able to assist you. Let's try the following steps below if you haven't done so already.
I've also manually done it too and I even get a notification saying it's synced and can view it on my mobile device. But then it still says "nothing here yet" on my phone. my oculus is connected to my phone but still nothing shows up.
Hello, thanks for getting back to us. We do not like to hear that you are still continuing to experience the same issue. Rest assured, we're here to help. We understand your hesitation with performing a factory reset mainly because it is irreversible and will remove all account information, downloaded games, and content from the headset. However, a factory reset will not remove content you've purchased or downloaded from your account and will resolve the vast majority of all issues.
Hi oculus support, i really hope you are reading this since i've heard of ALOT of people having this issue with the file sync on the android app. Factory resetting the headset is NOT the solution and it doesn't fix any problems regarding the android app itself.
It seems like you have some sort of bug with the app updates, because if you have had the app for a while (i don't know the exact time this occurred, but it should be about the same time as you made the update to the app itself, changing the "device" tab to "media" tab.
The problem is that even tho you have updated the oculus app in play store, you don't have the updated app on your android device. The simple solution to this problem is the following. Uninstall the app and install it again ON YOUR PHONE.
I hope you see this information and can use it to help other quest users, i have spent hours upon hours looking for my files in the oculus app, since you don't have any straight forward information as to where it is lcoated in the app, and how to fix it if it ain't there. I would suggest that you add this information to your support pages talking about files, eg the following article -vr-experiences/oculus-apps/using-oculus-files-app.
I went rounds with support on this today. Thank you, Denisa.
Summary: Version 148.0.0.1.115 of the Android App should give you a 'Gallery' feature which should have your sync'd media.
Play Store may not recognize a new version needs to come down, forcing you to uninstall and re-install to get new version.
Support people, both available through support chat and in this forum, occasionally confuse the following:
- The Quest 2 software version
- The Android Oculus app version on your phone
Hi CalebRayy! We know how disheartening it is when your apps are not working properly. Please make sure you have version IOS 10 downloaded in order for this to work. If you have IOS 10 and you're still having complications, please reach out to us here, so we can further assist you.

Unfortunately on even older OS, on the iPhone it is not possible to access this information. The passwords are kept on your phone in a safe place that is not accessible through any regular means on the phone. This is done for your protection, if you were to lose your iPhone and someone picked it up, the passwords that are stored on it would be up for grabs. This would lead to a lot of security problems.
I would recommend apps like 1password or the many other pieces of software out there that do the same thing to keep your passwords safe and backed up. I have way to many passwords to remember and it has been a life saver. 1Password even has the ability to back up your passwords to dropbox just in case something happens to your phone and you need to access it from somewhere else.
As gtm stated, there is a way to access your passwords but it is through jailbreaking. I do not recommend jailbreaking, that is something that you have to make the decision on for yourself. Jailbreaking is not for everyone.
I know this may not have been the answer you were looking for, we have all been there when we forget a password and there isn't a way to retrieve it. The easier thing you can do with older iOS versions is to reset the password on your router and make sure to keep that password safe.
If you are on iOS7, then you can use iCloud Keychain Syncing to allow the stored password on your iPad to be synced elsewhere (assuming you have a Mac too), allowing you to then read it in your Keychain as per point 1. In the screenshot shown, most of these WiFi networks are in other cities that only my iPhone has connected to:
Using the Keychain app is a great way to organize your passwords. With Keychain you can access all passwords (including Wi-Fi passwords) from your Mac. But the Jailbreak tweak WiFi Passwords from Cydia is the best one for viewing passwords directly on your iPhone.
I didn't try this, but it may work: if you have a Mac and sync it to the Apple ID in the iPhone then it may appear in Keychain Access > passwords in the Mac as "Airport Network password" (just search for "airport") or by searching for the WIFI network name.
Ideally there should be one menu/location showing all connected devices LAN and WIFI? And a user comment field for each device is helpful? But I'm not finding anything like this on this router? Maybe I'm just not seeing it?
I have a V1 on the latest f/w and I can see the data you want, but it is under the DHCP Server in Advanced in Network. It does not state what band a device is connected to though. You can see that under Traffic Meter though.
Hmmm..... So there is no consolidated connected device list? This is a product weakness. Someone at TP-Link development should pursue this as a simple enhancement that many customers reasonably expect?!
I have set up a number of reseved IP addesses under DHCP tab for fixed devices (as I mentioned before as one fo the places to find connected device detail). Or are you talking about IP & MAC binding tab? This still presents an incomplete view of connected devices....?
